How does the jewel sparkle?

Swarovski® is considered to produce the finest precision-cut crystals in the world. Their crystals are polished to the highest standards of quality and sparkle like diamonds. Our tooth crystals are made by genuine Swarovski crystals that are stain resistant and have a flat back surface.

Does the application procedure hurt?

No pain and no numbing! The procedure is similar to placing an orthodontic bracket (braces) on a tooth. The procedure is completely painless.

How long does the application procedure take?

The application takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Will I feel the tooth jewelry/crystal on my tooth?

The tooth jewelry/crystals are very small in size.  Initially, something on your tooth will feel different, but a few days after the application you will get used to the new feeling.

How do I care for my new tooth jewelry after the service?

Don’t touch or play with your new tooth jewelry.  You can drink plain water immediately after your service, but you cannot eat for a minimum of 1 hour.  Brush gently with a manual toothbrush around the jewelry/crystal area within the first 12 hours.  Avoid using an automatic electric toothbrush for the first 24 hours.  It is critical to maintain proper dental hygiene habits.  Always brush and floss your teeth regularly, and visit your dentist for professional dental cleanings as directed (usually every 3 or 6 months).

How long will the jewelry stay on my tooth?

The lifespan of your tooth jewelry is never guaranteed; there are many variables that affect it, particularly your dental hygiene habits. Tooth jewelry typically last a minimum of 6 months, but can last a long time with proper care. Tooth jewelry should only be placed on natural teeth.

How do I remove the tooth jewelry when I no longer want it?

Our tooth jewelry is 100% reversible. If you would like to remove your tooth jewelry it can be taken off by a dental professional at any time. The tooth will be polished to remove any remaining bonding material.

Will the tooth jewel harm my tooth?

When properly placed on a natural tooth, it will not damage or harm your tooth in any way. This does depend on your oral care at home.

Does the tooth jewel obstruct regular brushing?

No, the presence of it will not make any difference regarding dental hygiene.  However, it is recommended not to use an automatic electric toothbrush for the first 24 hours after the gem has been applied.

What if the jewel falls off, and I swallow it?

Our crystals have no sharp edges.  It will basically come out "the natural way."

Can I still have my teeth cleaned by my dental professional?

Yes.  You can, and you should still have your teeth cleaned every 3 to 6 months by a dental professional.  The tooth gems will not cause a problem during your dental teeth cleaning.  The area underneath the gem is sealed like a filling.  Therefore, the dental professional can easily polish around the tooth jewelry.
